About J4F
Built from the work outward.
Just 4 Feet Studio is a purpose-built creative production facility in Laguna Hills, California. It grew from years of doing the work – recording, editing, producing, building, troubleshooting, and seeing where disconnected spaces and systems get in the way of good ideas.
We built J4F to remove more of those barriers.

THE BEGINNING
The studio came after the work.
Just 4 Feet Studio began through production and podcast work, before there was a facility like this.
As the projects grew, so did the range of problems we were solving. Recording led to editing. Editing exposed workflow problems. Video introduced another layer of production. Technical decisions affected creative ones. And too often, the people responsible for each part of the process were separated by different rooms, vendors, and systems that had never been designed to work together.
That experience shaped the idea behind Just 4 Feet Studio.
Instead of starting with a collection of rooms and deciding what to put inside them, we started with the work and built around what the work actually needed.

BUILT WITH INTENT
Craftsmanship came before the studio.
Long before David Sais was building production spaces, he was learning cabinetmaking, finish construction, and furniture building from his father, Louis. David and Greg spent years working in kitchen and bathroom remodeling and later built custom pool tables together.
David eventually carried that eye for fit, finish, and detail into luxury residential construction in Corona del Mar, where he oversaw final quality control before and after homes were delivered.
That background changed the way Just 4 Feet Studio was built.
Rooms, sightlines, cable paths, acoustics, work surfaces, technology, and workflow were considered as parts of the same system. A detail does not earn its place because it photographs well. It has to help the room work better for the people using it.
HOW WE WORK
The handoff is part of the craft.
Production gets complicated at the places where one discipline meets another.
Performance affects editorial. Editorial affects the mix. Camera and lighting decisions affect post. Room design affects recording. Technical systems affect how quickly people can communicate, make decisions, and stay focused on the creative work.
Just 4 Feet Studio was built around the belief that those decisions should stay connected.
Today, voice production, audio post, immersive audio, video and content production, live production, studio design, acoustics, and technical systems can all intersect here when a project requires them.
The point is not to offer everything.
It is to understand enough of the whole problem that our clients do not have to translate between a chain of disconnected specialists just to keep the work moving.
THE FOUNDERS
Different disciplines. A shared standard.
Just 4 Feet Studio was built by people who came to the work from different directions – production, post, construction, education, music, and operations. Those perspectives shape how we solve problems, how we build rooms and systems, and how we work with the people who use them.

DAVID SAIS
Founder & CEO
David works at the intersection of production, studio design, systems, acoustics, and construction.
His background in hands-on building and luxury residential quality control shaped the way he approaches technical and creative problems – understand how the pieces affect one another, pay attention to the details that matter, and never mistake “finished” for “resolved.”
At Just 4 Feet Studio, that perspective connects the physical room to what happens inside it. Whether the challenge is a production workflow, signal path, acoustic problem, technical system, or studio build, David focuses on understanding what the project needs to accomplish and creating a solution that works as a whole.
TIPHANY KANE
Founder & COO
Tiphany works at the intersection of production, operations, client experience, and the people behind the work.
After two decades in education, she brings an instinct for making complicated things understandable, creating structure without losing flexibility, and recognizing what people need in order to do their best work.
At Just 4 Feet Studio, that perspective shapes how projects are planned, how clients move through the process, and how the many creative and technical disciplines inside the facility stay connected. Tiphany focuses on the experience surrounding the work – making sure the right people, information, resources, and decisions come together at the right time.

GREG SAIS
Co-Founder &
VP, Production & Post
Greg works across recording, dialogue, post-production, and video, bringing the perspective of someone who understands both what happens in the room and what happens after the record button stops.
His background in music and production shaped an ear for performance, timing, detail, and the small decisions that determine whether something simply works or actually feels finished.
At Just 4 Feet Studio, Greg leads field and in-house recording, dialogue editing, audio post-production, and video editing. That range keeps him connected to the entire path from capture through final delivery – helping make sure the creative intent survives the handoffs along the way.
